Questions
What is Joystick?
Joystick is an external for the Windows version of Max/MSP that allows you to get data from DirectInput game controllers. These are devices such as joysticks, gamepads, or steering wheel and pedal combinations. A Joystick object gives you access to a game controller's buttons, axes, rotational axes, sliders, and POV hats.

How do I install Joystick?
Download Joystick here. The zip contains 4 files: this readme, the license file, a Max help file, and the external (Joystick.mxe). To install the external, first copy Joystick.mxe into the externals folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Program Files\Common Files\Cycling '74\externals\. Next, copy Joystick.help into the help folder. By default, this folder is located at C:\Program Files\Cycling '74\MaxMSP 4.3\max-help\. You are now ready to use the Joystick external. Save the readme and the license file for future reference.
